RWS (Responsible Wool Standard)

An increasing interest in animal welfare has led Menchi to obtain a certification that protects the welfare of the sheep and the land on which they graze. RWS attests, in fact, the origin of wool from responsible farms and certifies every stage of the production process, from breeding to the finished product. It also guarantees the presence of at least 5% RWS wool in the fabrics.

BCI (Better Cotton Initiative)

The Better Cotton Initiative encourages textile companies to buy cotton from plantations considered sustainable both from an environmental and social point of view. BCI farmers, following the Better Cotton Standard, produce cotton in total respect for the environment, minimizing water waste and the use of fertilizers and pesticides. Menchi has been supporting this project since 2020 with the aim of becoming more and more sustainable.
