The product
Menchi masters faux fur with the same artisanal care reserved for the most precious noble fibers. This is not an accessory product or a secondary line: faux fur is a technical specialization that requires specific skills in weaving, finishing, and pile management.
The Menchi Faux Fur family includes fabrics with short, medium, and long pile effects, in natural fibers (wool, alpaca) and in blends with technical fibers. Each item is developed to faithfully replicate the aesthetics of specific furs: mink, fox, leopard, ocelot — with no animals involved.

From raw material to fabric

Pile design
The process begins with the definition of the pile: length, density, type of fiber (natural or technical), desired visual effect. Each faux fur is designed as a unique product.

Fiber selection
Fibers are selected to replicate the desired visual effect. Menchi uses combinations of natural fibers (wool, alpaca) and technical fibers to achieve the optimal aesthetic result.

Specialized weaving
Faux fur weaving requires specific looms and parameters to create the pile structure. The fabric base must be stable and resistant, while the pile must move freely.

Finishing and styling
Faux fur finishing includes carding, shearing, and pile styling. This is the most delicate phase: it determines the final effect and product quality. Menchi performs this entirely in Montemurlo.
