What is SUSTAINABLE FASHION INNOVATION SOCIETY?
It is an apolitical non-profit association born from the need to enhance:
- fashion and Made in Italy
- production sustainability
- supply chain innovation
In particular, SFIS is active in spreading the culture of sustainability in every field and declination.
By joining SFIS, we want to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion sector, which is the second most polluting industry in the world. Fashion is responsible for the 10% of CO2 emissions every year and the dissipation of 20% of the total water resources used in working phases, so we are committed to reducing polluting gas emissions and water consumption.
Together with SFIS, we decided to support TR1BE, the climate action platform that involves fashion brands and their communities to have a positive environmental impact!
By joining this project, we saved 25 trees in rainforests!
We are convinced that preserving existing rainforests is one of the most efficient and economical ways to combat climate change. Stopping tropical deforestation and allowing regrowth could mitigate up to 50% of global net carbon emissions in the next 30 years.
